N tries to crawl

So E has seen him do it, I've seen him do it, even Zoee has seen him do it. The one who hasn't seen him do it? The camcorder. We keep trying, but he's very elusive. Here's a video of him faking me out and playing with a burp cloth instead. Eventually, there will be one of him crawling.

Amazing photographer friend + cutest baby of all time = BEST PHOTOS EVER

Recently we had our friend M take pictures of us and our little man. Because she's incredible as a photographer and as a person, N took to her instantly and was a champ during his photo shoot. Plus, it helps that N is about the cutest little man I've ever met in my life, so he tries to make it easy to get good shots of him. All this to say we've got some amazing pictures coming. I wish I knew how we were going to pick a subset of all the photos!

N tries the swings!

It was a beautiful day here today - so we decided to take N to the park and test out the baby swings. He wasn't sure what to make of them at first - but he seemed to really have a good time after he got used to it. Plus, there were a bazillion other kids at the park today for him to watch. He really likes watching kids. E says it's because he recognizes his own kind.

A change in plans

Hard to argue with a guy who is always in a good mood.

Today was supposed to be relatively run of the mill. E and I were going to head to work, take off about lunchtime, have a little lunch date and maybe catch a movie, then pick up the little man and hang out with him all afternoon.

Unfortunately, we actually went to work, got called by N's school, picked N up early, headed to the pediatrician (again), headed to the hospital for baby chest X-rays (a first), and then headed to the pharmacy to pick up breathing treatments. Fortunately for us N has RSV - not pneumonia. Also fortunately for us - N is an amazing patient and pretty much goes with the flow. A generally good attitude about everything.

Did I mention we're still finishing up antibiotics for his 5th ear infection? And that we're going to the ENT on Tuesday to discuss tubes for the little guy?

I'm telling you - thank goodness for insurance.

Jillian and Bob would have a heart attack

Since we had N, E and I have had to change our extracurriculars a bit. No longer to we just head out to do whatever on any given weeknight all willy-nilly. Since N goes to sleep at about 7 pm, we've got to pretty much stick around the house. We've improvised.

Today we're watching the new season of The Biggest Loser.

And also we're eating Papa John's. Lots of Papa Johns.

And some ice cream.
